This project is being implemented in Kwale, Mombasa, and Kilifi Counties of Kenya. Degraded Mangrove Forests are being restored in order to support local communities by providing a platform for selling carbon. UMITA represents Vlinder on the ground, mobilizing communities and working closely with the Kenya Forest Service to oversee the implementation through women groups, youth groups, people living with disabilities, who are also members of the Community Forest Associations.
